Mend*rs Symposium

JMB ran the first DIY Store at Mend*rs symposium, Cumbria. Hosted graciously at Bill Lloyd's Slough Farm in the beautiful Cumbria countryside, this was the first ever large-scale mending gathering in the UK. We were really pleased to be a part of it, and to meet so many amazing people.

Our DIY Store was housed in the cow shed...

That we shared with a nest of fledging swallows....

We had lots of materials and things to spark ideas

We'd brought a range of things that needed fixing, but also asked other attendees to bring things that they had that need fixing.

Bridget's fixed a bird house

Meghan's jug, rescued from outside a house near Peckham Rye station, was given a new handle.

Tom gave Jonnet's shoes a new lease of life.
